The Carrier Services Department combines a number of different roles with it's primary goal being to understand the market place, bringing new and emerging products into our portfolio.

Matrix Communications work with our partners and their customers to understand their requirements enabling us to suggest innovative solutions based on best of breed carriers and solutions. Unlike Carriers, we have multiple tools in our kitbag and will endeavour to give customers independent advice based on delivering their business objectives as well as suggesting alternatives based on developments in the rapidly changing Carrier market place.

We cannot supply every type of carrier network in the UK, nor do we want to. By diluting our energies across all carriers we lose focus on the other areas of our value proposition, such as delivery and support. Carrier relationships and services are complex and we aim to supply services to our customers that take into account four key areas. Before bringing a new product into our portfolio we ask ourselves the following questions;

  • Technical - does the Carrier's product fit a gap or complement our existing portfolio?
  • Commercial - Is there a sizable addressable market for this product? Can we and our Partners both make an acceptable margin from the product when compared with open market value?
  • Delivery - do we know the order and delivery process, do we have a good understanding of the lines of escalation for the product?
  • Support - do we know how to support the service, and lines of escalation, should the service deliver a fault? Do we know who to contact regarding billing queries or commissions?

The comprehensive answers to these questions are key in delivering a service experience far greater than could be achieved by dealing direct with a Carrier.

It is the role of our Solutions Consultants to work with your solutions architects either by means of training sessions or in front of customers to transfer this product knowledge into solutions.
